I was admitted to the ENS in Cachan through a competitive entrance exam in 2011. I specialized in linguistics for my master’s degree and then for the agrégation. I then earned a Ph.D. in English linguistics. Today, as an assistant professor of English linguistics at Sorbonne University, my research focuses on verbal complementation from both syntactic and semantic perspectives.
My education at the ENS in Cachan introduced me to English linguistics and its various branches. I also developed a solid analytical methodology there, particularly while preparing for the agrégation exam. I also had the opportunity to spend an exchange year in the United States at the University of Chicago. In addition, I took my first steps as a teacher at the ENS, working as a part-time instructor for students specializing in chemistry and mechanical engineering. This allowed me to gain initial teaching experience in a familiar setting, where I was able to benefit from the support of the department’s faculty.
Finally, during my time at the ENS, I met many people and successfully completed several collaborative research projects. To this day, I maintain strong friendships with several classmates from my graduating class.
