Academic Placement
Students in the English DER program study abroad during their first year of master’s studies (M1). This placement, which takes place prior to the year of preparation for the English agrégation exam, is an essential component of success on the exam, thanks to both the linguistic and cultural enrichment that the year abroad provides.
Exchanges and Partnerships
The English DER program has agreements with Glasgow University, as well as Trinity College Dublin. In addition, the International Relations Office (SRI) at ENS Paris-Saclay offers other exchange programs, such as those in the United States through MICEFA. Finally, students can apply to study in an English-speaking country through Université Paris-Cité.
A Project to Plan Ahead For
L3 students should begin preparing their study abroad project for the M1 year as early as the first semester by consulting with the relevant coordinators regarding the specific requirements for each position or exchange.
All detailed information regarding study abroad programs with the ENS can be found at on the SRI intranet (destinations, funding opportunities). Information will also be provided on possible destinations through the Université Paris-Cité.
