Audrey Cartron was admitted to the first year based on her application in 2014, then became a student at the École Normale after passing the second competitive exam in 2016.
After earning a Ph.D. on the characterization of police English (Aix-Marseille University) and serving as a PRAG (associate professor in higher education) at the University of Nantes (LEA program), I am now an Associate Professor at that same university.
My years at the ENS were very enriching because they allowed me to acquire solid and varied knowledge in the field of English-language studies (linguistics, civilization, literature, specialized English), as well as rigorous and effective work and research methods.
They also allowed me to discover specialized English and, in particular, the tremendous richness and great diversity of research topics inherent in this branch of English studies. The English Department at the ENS also offers excellent preparation for the agrégation exam, which I was able to take advantage of and thanks to which I passed the exam in 2017.
